Ready to share your customer successes and grow your business?

It’s time to put your “job well done” to work for you!

You’ve done the work and gotten incredible results for your clients. Time to move on to the next project, right?

Hold your horses there, my friend! Let’s take a moment to recognize what you accomplished — and make the most of it. See, the results you get for your clients — the expectations you’ve exceeded and the transformations you’ve catalyzed  — are powerful marketing magic for your business.

So how exactly can you share client results in a way that’s meaningful and persuasive?

Enter case studies, also known as customer success stories, also known as your  #1 most valuable marketing asset

Here’s why case studies are so potent:

Case studies are the ultimate in social proof.

Testimonials are great and all…but case studies show the full transformation, from start to finish, delivering a high-impact WOW factor (I mean, who doesn’t love a good before and after story?).

Case studies paint a compelling picture of what it’s like to work with you.

A well-written case study makes it easy for potential customers to see exactly what it’s like to work with you  — not just what you say it’s like, but what a real life human customer says!

Case studies can be used over and over again in multiple ways to market your business.

Send case studies to prospective clients, highlight them in your email newsletter, share them on social media, repurpose them into blog posts — the possibilities are endless.

So...what is a case study?

A case study is a strategic narrative of the transformation a client experiences when they work with you or use your product.  It’s not just a “problem-solution” sheet or a list of results and metrics (although those data points help us tell the story of your customer’s success!)

Instead, I write case studies that pull your prospective clients along through the transformation story, from start to finish:

What your client was struggling with before they met you

This helps make the story very real and relatable for prospective clients — there’s a good chance they are feeling the pain of the same exact problems right now!

Exactly what you did to solve the problem

This helps potential clients understand what it is you do, exactly, from the customer’s perspective.

The transformation

Think of this as the “so what” – connecting the dots very clearly so potential customers see the the highest value of what you do. Think: “Mary’s website redesign not only increased average session lengths for our site, it led more conversions and our highest monthly sales yet!”

Here's an example!

Even if you don't have concrete numbers or data, a case study can show intangible transformation & results too.

For example:  “After this coaching program with Anna, I’m more confident and secure in my self-worth.”

Or: “After Julia’s Notion VIP day, I feel so much more in control of my day-to-day tasks and long-term projects. It’s like I can finally breathe again!”)

Time to Show Your Work!

Once you’ve captured your customer’s success story in writing, you can use it for all kinds of things:

  • Hire a graphic designer to turn it into a pretty one-sheeter that you include in your project proposals
  • Create a Success Stories page on your website
  • Share it with your email list
  • Link to it from your social media bio

Because case studies are truly an evergreen marketing material that you can share and repurpose over and over again, they’re also a smart investment for your business.
